- FCE - First Certificate in English (Upper-Intermediate level)
- CAE - Certificate in Advanced English (Advanced level)
- CPE - Certificate of Proficiency in English (Native speaker level)

Who is the course for?
FCE is ideal if you want to work or study abroad or to develop a career which requires language skills. FCE indicates sufficient proficiency in English to be of practical use in clerical, secretarial and managerial in many industries, in particular tourism, where contact with English speakers is required. Successful candidates have the ability to deal with routine letters and telephone enquiries, and to cope with some non-academic training courses and simple textbooks and articles.
About the course:
The FCE is a two semester course. It is for students of Upper-Intermediate level. The course covers all areas of the FCE exam: Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking and Use of English. In addition, students will develop their vocabulary skills in many topics, and improve their knowledge of English grammar.
The course is topic-based and will include the following topics: - Travel and Holiday
- Technology - Food and Drink
- Entertainment - Family and Relationships
- Crime and the Law - Weather and Climate
- and others
Homework: Homework assignments will consist of exercises from the course book, handouts, letter, review and report writing tasks, grammar exercises, gap-fill and vocabulary building worksheets. The Examination: The examination can be taken in December, March or June. It consists of five papers:Paper 1: Reading (1 hour 15 minutes)Paper 2: Writing (1 hour 30 minutes)Paper 3: Use of English (1 hour 15 minutes)Paper 4: Listening (40 minutes) Paper 5: Speaking (14 minutes)
